Paul ‘P.Rod’ Rodriguez, winner of more than a few professional skateboard titles and Ice Cube, a major player in what was a more politically rebellious era of Hip-Hop; both team up for a 60 second spot with the type of cross generational sensibilities that brings dads and teenage sons together like a Sunday kick-about in the park.
With a nice range of off-takes, background videos, and other media collateral, Nike find themselves in the unusual position of being able to reach audiences from ages fifteen to forty-five. It’s not often you find a marketing campaign that can straddle a generation, but let’s face it, what teenager wants to see their dad on a skateboard.
