Jon Rafman has created an archive of his own intriguing screen grabs from Google Street View. The Alex Jones fearing readers among you may scream 1984 or Brave New World, but there’s something about being able to walk down a road in Russia from your London flat that is pretty amazing.
I had this idea years ago, and the Missin Letters Blogspot is a fine example of what what happens when you sit around twiddling your thumbs.
Let me put down the sour grapes for long enough to say that the blog is a wonderful collection of mispelling’s and typo’s found on shop fronts, cinema fronts and anywhere a missing letter is, well, missing.The results are often humorous and always interesting. Goes to show what fun can be found in a typo. Typo – that was to be the name of my blog. There I go again with those sour grapes…
